Success of our first Senior Social!

This month has seen The Old Fire Station team launch the Seniors Social events, starting with an evening of live music and bingo in honour of one of our most loved service users, Eddie.

Eddie has been visiting two or three times a week for the past three years, since his family circumstances changed which meant he was living alone. He requested an evening event, as he shared with us that this is time he finds loneliness hits hardest.

The evening was a great success! 40 local seniors attended the event which was funded by Hey Neighbour. The night included games of bingo, buffet food provided by The Feel Good Café, a live band and plenty of dancing. We were overwhelmed by the kind words and compliments of those in attendance, and have heard their requests to put on similar events in the future.
